The unidentified runner turned out to be a double finisher who, after finishing went back to come in again with a friend.
Course records: Men: Mark Windsor 18:11 (2012) Women: Zoe Gmerek 23:01 (2012)
A massive thank you to all the runners, marshals, registration volunteers, time-keepers and everybody else who helped to make the race a success.
There was a fantastic turn out at the race yesterday evening with the field over 50% bigger than last year. Other than one twisted ankle the race went smoothly.
We did however have a problem with producing the results and hence the prize-giving was very much later than we had hoped. We apologise unreservedly for the delay which was caused by a problem with the chip timing system. We had hoped to resolve the problem but were unable to so manually produced the results.
In hindsight we should have started the manual process immediately we knew that there was potentially a problem with the automated system.
We have one unidentified runner in the results and are working on identifying them.

Once again Hyde Village Striders presents “Stride Through The Woods” a two-lap multi- terrain race around our stomping ground, the Tame Valley. You'll probably not have time to appreciate the fine scenery as you speed along the hard packed river trail, romp over the grass and stagger through the short muddy section, but you will finish with a smile on your face!
We are pleased to announce that this year we have got What's My Time aboard to chip time the race for us. We have also enlisted Nicely Framed as the official event photographers.
There is 35m of ascent on each lap, with a short sharp 20m climb at one end of the loop and a steady 15m climb at the other. Other than those small climbs and a short splash through the mud it's full steam ahead on good trail.
A donation to Willow Wood Hospice will be made from any profit the event makes. Last year we donated over £100.

Course Safety
The course includes uneven trail, wooded areas with tree roots, a small stream crossing, narrow paths and a few steps. Runners must take these hazards into account especially when running in a group or when deciding to overtake other runners.
The area is open to the public and part the course follows a bridleway so runners may encounter members of the public, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Consideration must be given to other users of the area.
The middle section of the route is covered four times and is a wide trail. All runners must keep to the right when on this trail unless overtaking. Do not overtake on the bends where you may not be able to see oncoming runners!
